Neal's Yard is a small alley between Shorts Gardens and Monmouth Street which opens into a lovely colourful courtyard. Named after the 17th century developer, Thomas Neale, the courtyard houses cafes and retailers such as Neal's Yard Remedies and Neal's Yard Dairy.

Kings Cross has an amazing multicoloured light tunnel on the underground walkways that connect St Pancras with Kings Cross station. The interior of the waiting hall has a fabulous ceiling that is also worth photographing.

The Barbican is one of London’s best known brutalist architectural heavyweights and is something of a highly regarded mecca amongst brutalist fans. Built in the aftermath of WW2, the Barbican Centre is the largest contemporary arts venue in Europe but the real aesthetic draw is the precision, consistency and complexity of the surrounding Barbican estate.

The Sky Garden contains three different public gardens, open air terraces and dining areas all located at the top of 20 Fenchurch Street in the City of London. The gardens offer a panoramic view of the city cradled within a mesh of angular architectural design and sprawls of foliage. It’s worth noting that access to the viewing decks, gardens and terraces are completely free, so these great shots won’t cost a penny!

Tate Modern Blavatnik Building - With its distinctive perforated, lattice brickwork and dynamic, angular structure the Tate Modern Blavatnik Building - formally the Switch House - has quickly become an architectural icon. Located next to the Thames River on London's South Bank the new extension houses the Tate's ever growing collection of contemporary artwork.
